Today, Dr. Manzanero has confirmed the 4th case of COVID-19 in Belize. The infected person is a male of 55 year old from San Ignacio Town. The man is now under isolation at the Western Regional Hospital in Belmopan. According to the infected person, he has not traveled nor have had interactions with people that have traveled, recently. It is understood that this is our first community spread.
Authorities are now mapping the recent interactions of the infected person, so to identify how the person was infected.
The Love Foundation would like to advise the public to please stay home in order to avoid spreading the virus, and getting infected. Always remember to wash your hands often and avoid touching your face.
